Science is everywhere in the world around us. Technology is continuously expanding into every aspect of our lives. Engineering is the basic designs of roads and bridges, but also tackles the challenges of changing global weather and environmentally-friendly changes to our home. Mathematics is in every occupation, every activity we do in our lives. Through exposure to STEM/STEAM – related topics, people, especially students, can develop a passion for it and see the opportunities open to them in the STEM field. STEAMfest makes math and science both fun and interesting and helps create life-long learners!

Every gift is reinvested directly into free, hands-on STEAM programming for Alabama families. We have over 250 volunteers who give of their time, energy, enthusiasm and knowledge to help our programs unleash the curiosity and light that spark that in children and adults so they can learn and grow. STEM education and STEM careers are an important part of the 21st Century and our programs help guide those who attend our events to a better understanding of the opportunities available to them.
